Not necessarily. If you already have friends with children or a group of families who would love to travel together, we can build the trip around your group, depending on size and availability. If you are travelling on your own, we also offer opportunities to join other like-minded families and make new connections along the way.

Families come in all shapes and sizes, and all are welcome, including single parents, multi-generational families, same-sex parents, blended families, and friends travelling together.

Our signature experiences are small-group departures made up of like-minded families. We may also offer private custom trips in the future.

Each trip will include recommended age ranges, but most experiences are designed to work well for children from early school age through the teen years.

We focus on beautiful, experience-rich destinations that work especially well for families, with plans for Europe and other bucket-list locations. Current featured destinations include Greece, Italy, France, and Spain, with other destinations available by request. You tell us where you would love to go, and we will work to make it happen.

Yes. Childcare is a core part of the BFT experience. Our itineraries are thoughtfully crafted to include engaging family activities, tours, and experiences for everyone, along with select adults-only dinners or experiences where childcare is provided by BFT Tours.

Additional childcare may also be available by request outside of the planned itinerary for an added cost. Specific details, inclusions, and options will always be outlined for each individual tour.

We work with trusted, licensed, and experienced childcare professionals and partners. Safety, professionalism, and warm, attentive care are at the heart of every program we offer. Before each departure, families will also have the opportunity to connect with the BFT childcare team through a pre-trip welcome session, held either virtually or in person depending on the departure location and trip details.

Yes. One of the things families love most about BFT is that parents can enjoy adult dinners, excursions, or downtime while children are engaged in safe, enriching activities.

Our experiences are designed for families to enjoy together. Depending on the trip, activities may include cultural workshops, cooking classes, hands-on learning, outdoor adventures, creative experiences, and meaningful local connections that engage both children and adults.

We thoughtfully choose experiences that are enriching, interactive, and enjoyable for every age, never tours that feel too advanced for children or activities that only entertain kids while adults watch from the sidelines. The goal is shared discovery, shared fun, and lasting family memories.

Each trip is different, but inclusions will cover accommodations, selected meals, planned activities, childcare programming, transfers, and on-trip support. Full details will be listed before booking opens.

Yes. Flights are included in BFT Tours pricing. However, if your family prefers a land-only option, that may be available by request depending on the trip. Every tour page will clearly outline what is included.

Usually no. Most trips will begin with a deposit, followed by a payment schedule closer to departure.

Cancellation terms vary by trip and supplier. We will always provide clear policies before you book.

Yes. We can accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and other family requirements when shared with us in advance at the time of booking.

Yes. Travel insurance is required for all travellers. We strongly recommend coverage that includes trip cancellation, interruption, and especially emergency medical insurance when travelling abroad. Please note that BFT Tours does not provide travel insurance at this time.

The number of families on each trip will vary depending on the destination, accommodations, and overall experience we are creating. We intentionally keep groups limited so the trip feels personal, comfortable, and connected rather than crowded or overwhelming. Specific group sizes will always be shared before booking opens.
